They can be brand new and have been setting in a warehouse for years. The Tire ID # is molded into both sides of the tire. Usually, only one side has an additional number molded into it. This one has the manufacture date. Example (DOT U2LL) BOTH SIDES. One side will have (DOT U2LL)(LMLR 5107). The tire was manufactured the 51st week of 2007. Before 2000, there were only 3 digits in the number, example(DFM 408) manufactured the 40th week of the 8 year of the decade. the 90's had a small triangle before or after the number. Tires are only safe for family and friends for 5 yrs. I would not byuy anything older that 7-10 for myself. Hope this helps for future tires. I also hope that this is helpful to others that read your blog. Be Safe!louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15840967574038922947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051650307488354823.post-27137973560486277462010-12-30T04:57:09.595-06:002010-12-30T04:57:09.595-06:00Tffnguy

The mugger and the jackass that sold you those tires both need to be beaten to a hospitol bed with a tire iron. Hang in there, New Years is comin. Good tires...You seem to have ongoing tire problems. Good tires cost plenty, but, boy, are they worth it. I spent one-fifty each, that's seven hundred fifty, for those five tires on my Bronco. From Dallas I've done three Terlingua trips, and three North Carolina trips on 'em, with major off-roading on each trip. They're still in great shape, with plenty of life left on 'em. Will probably last longer than I'll own the truck. B.F. Goodrich All Terrain T/A, an excellent tire for the money.Allen Harehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00500590136731959920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051650307488354823.post-87529342591782221902010-12-29T19:23:04.206-06:002010-12-29T19:23:04.206-06:00Glad you got back on the road and home safely.
