Thunderheads / Tank Party?

Looked like we might have a chance of rain last night, but unfortunately the buildup of Thunderheads to the east went east. I never did hear any thunder and don't know if there was any rain back that way or not. At least I guess there was hope for that area.

The Tank Party is going to be this Saturday at 6:00 PM. Thoughts were for everyone to bring a couple of cans of spray paint and paint some sort of art on the tank, but it isn't far enough along for that so the tank party will actually just be an excuse for a party. It will be a pot luck supper followed by some shooting for those who bring something to shoot. At this time it looks like about 12 people will be here IF everyone shows up (including John Wells) I'll believe that when I see it. ;) I'm hoping it won't be too hot or too windy! The last couple of days haven't been bad for wind, but have sure been HOT! I saw 103 in the shade yesterday, but that was early and I figure it got a good bit warmer than that.

  1. Save a space for me to tag. I won't be down until around May 26th or so. I will bring beer :)

  4. BB, we ain't going to be drink'in beer we gon'a be drinking that high octane stuff. Even at that it should be safer then some old fart driving a mega house up and down the highways when he's always say'in he's die'in.

  6. 3:50 PM right now and the thermometer outside in the shade reads 108. Not much more than a slight breeze, but I did manage to do a load of dishes outside just now.

Its nice and cool sitting right in front of the swamp cooler and I managed an hour nap by diverting half the air to the couch earlier. Looks like more thunderheads trying to build to the east and the humidity seems a good bit higher than it has been for a while. The swamp cooler is managing to keep it at a balmy 86 degrees in here though.

  7. I love parties that are based on the need for a party and not real work... but the painting party sounds fun too... perhaps another party in the future. Sounds like you will have a crowd, at least for the dungeon. Have fun!

  8. Cindy, I'm expecting about 12 people, may be a couple more or less? Should be fun in either case. The party will mainly be outside in the shade.

  10. How was the party? I will be down there next month. I bought the 40 acres I told you about, so am riding down on the bike with a bunch of friends. Maybe meet up for a drink?

  11. Terry, the party went very well and JW web cast it. Unfortunately it was only a live thing so I won't likely get to see it. I think everyone had a good time. Will look forward to seeing you.
