Mo Snow Pictures

Having to run the charger about every 5 hours because there is very little juice coming from the solar panels. Needless to say I had to sweep the snow off of all of them this morning. BTW we got  3 inches of the white stuff. Most of the mountains are hidden behind fog so there aren't too many photo ops. :(

The below pictures were sent to me by Dave Secor.

Above pictures were taken at the Legion.

  1. I don't know, I think that fog bank is kind of interesting.

  3. Judy, just makes it impossible to get good pictures of the snow capped mountains.

Matt M, yes to that, but the indoor facilities are in the trailer and not in here yet. On top of that I drained the lines and pump to keep anything from freezing.

  8. DD, we needed the moisture bad so I won't complain much. Its melting quick now.

  9. Good to see you got a little moisture, I heard there was 10 inches there, but what ever came down, it will be a good 'soak' into the desert, I'm glad for you, we had about an inch here in central Texas, rain that is, over 4 days, it was great. Try to stay warm, I'm sure you are enjoying the cabin about now!

  10. SUERTE, Don't know about other places around here, but I only got the three inches here. It should do a lot of good, but I bet it won't do enough good for them to raise the burn ban. Of course that's BS anyway.

  12. B'foot, I've pretty near been hibernating in this nice warm cabin. I see stars now so it looks like they may be right about it being clear tomorrow. I figure that will do in the rest of the snow.

  14. Where are the pictures of the snowmen?

  15. Bkid, that will be short lived. The snow is melting fast.

Dani, been doing that and it sure is nice.

Anon, I'll save that for kids and there aren't any around here so no snowmen or snowwomen to take pictures of.

  18. That's a LOT of snow for your area. I imagine it surely does play hell with the solar panels!

  20. G'day! I was just looking at the land available in Terlingua (dirt cheap!) and planning on doing roughly the same thing as you; getting away from the city horrors, then I found your blog! I just wanna say thanks for keeping it going, I love it, and I'll be using it as a source of knowledge :P If I end up moving there I'll be sure to let you know!
