At 4:15 PM AC running.

I picked up about 150 gallons of catchment while i was gone. Maybe more coming?

  1. Does the AC produce any condensate and do you capture it?

    1. No as a matter of fact it is supposed to use any condensate to raise the efficiency by evaporating it with the condenser coil. Normally I have to pour water in the pan on the condenser coil to keep the amps down on the compressor so its right the opposite.

  2. Wow - that's pretty warm... how does Shelagh keep cool?

  3. In craters she's dug under the cabin Dani. That is unless she decided to come inside where I have the AC running. That isn't too often though. I guess she thinks she'll miss something outside if she does?

    1. Ouch. David - may I recommend that when it is that warm, if you have some "sapre water" to oput some in her crater - that will help to cool her down more than just lying in the crater...

Ideally, WHEN it is that hot, get her inside. Heat stroke in a dog is hectic and can be fatal. We wet our dogs neck (top and underneath) with water when he starts panting from the heat.

    2. Sorry - typo. "Spare water..."

    3. Dani, she doesn't like being in water, getting wet or laying on wet ground. I've tried that. She just moves to a crater that isn't damp. I keep the ice chest where it dumps the cold melt water in her water bowl and occasionally add ice to it to. She is getting too heavy to pick her up and carry her inside.

  5. I would to MsB, and it wasn't dry heat either. It was pretty muggy and little to no wind.
