Clouds / Charger Update

Looks like the next 7 days are going to be more cloudy than not so I worked on getting the charger where it won't be kicking dust all over the solar panels. Looks like I managed.
I set the charger on a pallet  and boxed it in with 2x4s and long screws. I let it run for 35 minutes since it had started clouding up and I couldn't see any dust flying at all while it was running. From the forecast it looks like it will have to be run at least once daily for most of the next 7 days. I'll probably put a screened in hut over it until spring when I'll probably start building the hybrid buggy with it.

The last couple of days here have been nice t-shirt weather in the afternoons. Looks like Monday will change that.  :(

  1. Thanks JB, at least I'll be able to watch movies at night now without running the batteries down because of lack of sunshine during the days. That helps the morale around here a lot.

  3. MsB, anything to be able to watch movies at night. ;) I guess I'm getting spoiled in my old age because when I was in the dungeon the best I could do is listen to music.

  4. You know if you had any water down there you could just spray a little on the ground for dust control. You know I like phucing with you, right?

  5. Bkid, if there was water down here you wouldn't be able to call it Turdlingua.

Nope. I'd have never guessed that.

BTW I got the cart. Thanks. I owe you a few.

  8. I saw the snow forecast for your area when I watched TXCN (the Texas news channel) it said it was going to snow tomorrow as well as in the Midland/Odessa area and I thought of you not even being able to escape to your sister's house.

    Hope it doesn't materialize.

  9. MsB, this time I have more than enough propane to get me by and temporary indoor facilities so I should make out ok. My other sis said they could get up to 10 inches in Odessa so I don't think I'd want to be there anyway. ;) I may take a tarp and cover the charger just in case.
