  2. Dani, the forecast has changed to 107 for today so this will likely get to at least 112, but could get as high as 117. :(

    2. How long does it have to be 115 before it is hot?

  6. You Terlingua Ranch residents are a lots more fire resistant than I am!

I like to stay in North Alabama until it cools down at the Ranch - say about the last week of October. Then come out and shoot some doves - and later on - shoot some blue quail - when that season opens. We like to put some jalapeno strips and Monteray Jack cheese in the bird breasts- wrap them with bacon, and grill over a hot juniper wood fire. Great eating - made even better with an ice cold Budwiser!

  7. Ring brought another motor for the charger so I could run the AC at night and keep batteries charged, but something didn't work out so it blew up the 3600 watt inverter. Now I have all the 12 volt power I could use, but very little 120 volts to use anything. I did have a stack of older inverters, but can not find them now. Most were also burned out to though. I did find one 400 watter that I first used when I came here and that is all that is allowing me to use the internet now. Problem is the fan is out on it and it will be used for short burst only until I can get another large one. That means no fridge and nothing else most of the time.
