My attempt to make it to my 10 acres in Terlingua Ranch and make a go of living on it. From the start it hasn't gone good at all, but I'm hopeful things will turn around!

Missed Her Again!!!
Had to make another trip south because I forgot to get drinking water the last trip. Also needed to take care of some banking so I can pay the VA co pay for the medications I get. When I returned about 11:00 I noticed a couple of boxes sitting in the trailer. I checked them out and MsB (Ms Belinda) Terlingua Dreams had stopped by on her way home to Del Rio or maybe Houston. Looks like I missed her by about 30 minutes. :( Anyway she left a couple of care packages full of all sorts of stuff (including drinking water, sodas, pork rinds with hot sauce, Halloween goodies, several cans of tuna and a good deal more stuff.)
MsB, sorry I missed you again and thanks for all the goodies! Maybe next year? Who knows? I may venture down to the Chili Cook off next year?
It was so good to see you, MsB even though it was so brief. Tffnguy, you need to venture over to the cook-off net year. Wish I could have spent more time. Next year.
MsB, I'll either be at the Chili cook off next year to meet you or I'll chain myself to the cabin until you stop by. Be sure to stop by in case of the later. I'd hate for you to stop by a few years later and find me looking like the Dude of the Dead.;)
Now David we don't need anything as drastic as chaining yourself :D
Maybe I will be better organized and we can plan on a meet date and time but I sure do hope you make it to the Chili Cook-off, it is an experience you have to try at least once.

It is a shame you missed her. Doesn't someone you want to see always stop by when you are not home?
ReplyDeleteYep DD, seems like that's the way it always happens.
ReplyDeleteNow that was so sweet of Ms. B to drop you off a couple of care packages. Maybe you'll catch her next time.
ReplyDeleteHope so Sandy, I wasn't expecting her to leave so soon. Yes she's a Peach.
ReplyDeleteBTW forgot to add the S.O.T.P. so added it. He is a local by the name Geroge Goss and the babe playing the fiddle is Anna Okley.
ReplyDeleteCatchy tune. Another catchy tune is Pablo Menudo's "Lady Bird" song.
ReplyDeleteI wrote this song here in my cell.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Tffnguy :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you, MsB even though it was so brief. Tffnguy, you need to venture over to the cook-off net year. Wish I could have spent more time. Next year.
ReplyDeleteDenese it was good to see you as well but you did a doctor's visit on me.
DeleteWe need to convince Tffnguy to come down and join the celebration!
MsB, I'll either be at the Chili cook off next year to meet you or I'll chain myself to the cabin until you stop by. Be sure to stop by in case of the later. I'd hate for you to stop by a few years later and find me looking like the Dude of the Dead.;)
ReplyDeleteDenese, you never know I might be there.
