  2. Thank you. I can never get my fill of Terlingua pictures. I am so looking forward to the chili cook-off so I can see the sunsets in person.

  3. I visited Pepper's new home today, You and RN will probably be happy to know that she is doing fabulous. She just loves her kids, and she has a new partner in crime, my dog Atlas. She is very happy.

  4. All of the abandoned dogs are gone now. I, with the help of Tyra, Denese, Frann, and David adopted out 8 of them. The rest are now with a rescue organization down south, in Terlingua. Thanks for everyone's help.

  6. MsB, hope the see you this time. ;)

DLS, glad to hear that on both counts.

Dani, who knows about the barn. Its been there and abandoned for years. That picture was looking northeast from here. The second picture is just looking southeast from here and shows my neighbor's house (Closest to me) and the clutter of old and new buildings in the distance. Its growing up down here. :(

  7. Woops Dani, just checked the second picture and it doesn't show my neighbor's house. The closest picture of a building is an old store that a tornado hit and tore the roof off and damaged the structure. It was never fixed and reopened. :( Don't know when that happened as it was long before I got here.

  9. Yep Frann, Robert thinks his camera cable is the same one I need for the binocular camera I bought at the sale so will bring in in the morning for me to try. If it is I''ll try to order one for the same type camera and may have even better pictures after that. At least a lot better zoom.

  10. Got our 10% chance of rain for 3 minutes. Might know because I had clothes hanging on the line nearly dry. Now with the high wind I hope they will stay on the line!

    Keep them photo's comin.

I tested my generator yesterday and one of the rubber motor mounts failed and the entire assembly broke lose from the frame. Nothing damaged that I can find, just motor mounts are screwed (I only got 15 hours on this genny)

I will call troybuilt tomorrow. I had the genny about three years so Im not expecting any help.
Im kinda disgusted. If im gonna buy chinese crap, I may as well buy gennys from harbor frieght. I expect more from Troybuilt.

  12. I got a Generator from MAXTOOL.com and really like it.
I got a short shower finally...

  13. CC, if Troybuilt isn't built in China then some of the parts probably are. I think you get junk no matter where you buy it these days.

Frann, hope it lasted longer than the 3 minute shower here. I guess its a start though. We might loose the burn ban some time in the next century?

  14. I meant to add that at least there are fine compensations out there for all the negatives.....and to thank you for taking time to show and tell what the life is like.

  15. Judith, all life is... is negatives and positives. All we have to do is figure out our options and how best to survive them. The good outweighs the bad, The bad outweighs the good or you don't have a choice (or not much of one). The way I see it we only have those three options.
