My new Dog?

I sit out beside the trailer in the evenings after there's shade to sit in. That means I'm constantly swatting flies. A few days back out of the corner of my eye I saw something moving at a high rate of speed toward my foot. Not knowing what it was reflexes kicked in and I jerked both of my feet up and then I saw what was going on. The character in the pictures was after a big juicy fly I'd just swatted and it fell next to my right foot. it snatched up that fly and retreated as fast as it darted in. Now it sits out there watching me any time I'm out there hoping to cash in on more kills. I just nicknamed it Dog.
Imagine that. Now I've got a dog again to. Shots and fixing not required. ;)

  6. Thanks MsB, I'll pass it on to it. Anyone know how to sex a... Well... one of those kinds of dogs?

Of course Abby. A beer bottle cap for water and another one for flies.

Gee... This might make a good GEICO commercial? :(

Shall I move on to the scraggly white dove that paid me a visit this evening?

  9. When I buy the Terlingua Whorehouse and restore it, maybe I will get a dog too.

I wonder if I can order a full size deer eating Komodo dragon off the internet?

Now that would keep them IRS agents away (and all my friends too:)

  10. You keep some strange pets out there, buddy! I think maybe a little more than a ca full for the water!

After all, eating all those flies is thirsty work!

  11. CC, with one of those none of your friends would be able to find you.

HJ, I'm still on the lookout for other pets. Haven't found a diamond back around here yet, but its name will be cat when I do.

  12. I have lots of geckos in my rooms here in Honduras. I hear them clicking and chirping, but only really see them if I happen to be sitting really quietly near a window around dusk. I like having them around. I have no bug problem with them around.

  13. Shadowmoss, We had plenty of geckos both inside and outside the house in Plano, but they didn't make a dent in mosquitoes and some other bugs. They were the very small Australian geckos that somehow made it to the DFW area and they weren't much bigger than some bugs themselves. They were so small it was impossible to keep them out of the house. I prefer my reptiles as outside pets though.
