My attempt to make it to my 10 acres in Terlingua Ranch and make a go of living on it. From the start it hasn't gone good at all, but I'm hopeful things will turn around!

Murder at La Kiva
Body Found at "La Kiva" Restaurant In Terlingua, Man In Custody Charged with Murder 02/04/14 Update: 8:41 p.m. La Kiva owner Murdered
I new Glen Patrick Felts almost 15 years ago when i went the first time to Terlingua and Lajitas, he helped me with something very personal, what he did, i will remember all my life, as that has marked my family for ever since. He was a sincere, honest, great human being, a "soyado" in the vernacular Spanish terminology, close word to mean a VERY GOOD "hippie",with a great heart. .God Bless and peace for him (+)

I believe it was GQ that named La Kiva to the list of '10 Bars You Must Visit Before You Die.' Glen's dad was part hippie and part visionary.
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad to learn of someone passing but even more so when he was a young person I believe 50 years old and in these circumstances.
ReplyDeleteYou move out in the desert for peace and tranquility only to find death. Glad to hear the murderer was arrested.
Matt, I think it was his uncle he got it from.
ReplyDeleteMsB, its a bad thing, but there's a real good chance Tony didn't do it.
ReplyDeleteThen I hope they catch whoever did it..
DeleteMe to MsB.
DeleteYou are correct. Glen was Gill Felt's nephew.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who don't know, La Kiva is a bar built in a whole in the ground in the Big Bend.
