It'll Du Update

Was a beautiful morning this morning and no wind up until about 11:30 so I did all I could before it got up. I did get to do more work on It'll Du as can be seen in the picture. I don't think there's a wind advisory for tomorrow so hopefully I can finish it up? At least get it usable! (Hopefully with a roof on it and as rainproof as I can make it.) I've decided that the only safe door is no door with the wind like it is around here so have decided to empty out the guest house and salvage the zipper door from it  to use as a door on It'll Du. That should hold up better then a door that would likely get ripped off of the hinges by high wind and still give privacy inside even if you do have to stoop to get in it.

Now where else can you get a view like that while using the facilities?

This internet connection is really lousy now so more than likely this will be posted from the legion!
UPDATE
No doubt one of those times that makes this all worth while. Almost silence other than an occasional vehicle going down 118 and the constant ringing of tinnitus in my ears, but I've learned to accept that over they years. (Ever since Viet Nam) Beautiful sunset, the temp is just right and NO wind at all! I could have gotten more done to the PCOB, but just had to enjoy the evening!

  5. That sure bees the dickens out of leaning on a tree. Course looks to me like there are not any trees to lean on. So you better keep building. It will almost be a shame to put walls up. Maybe you can at least put a little glass look out somewhere so you can see the Texas Mountains while your thinkin. I’m jealous and want to go to deer camp. Have one on me too. Did you ride the Trike? You be careful goin home.

  7. Tigger, I do take the trike there some. I did come back and get it and take it back to show one guy that wanted to see it.

OGT, I might be able to check it out now that the internet seems to be back up. The guy I get it from came by for payment and we hashed it out over how lousy it is. I think he rebooted and now its doing fair. (For now)

  8. What a view! Yes, it's starting to look like a real outhouse now. Makes me want to have a bowel movement just lookin' at it!
    Best of luck with everything.

  9. I'm going to have to come up with some other project. The It'll Du is getting old. Got the tarps around it and now need to cover the roof with one. Then I guess comes the guest house fly, but I'm tired so I guess everyone will have to hold it another day or to unless I get more energy tomorrow. Then again I have a lot of other stuff to do before the guests arrive so everyone may have to hold it for several more days.

  11. Aside from the wind persisting at least the warm weather has returned. I am sure that sleeping is a bit warmer in that container. I wonder what it will be like in there in mid July.

  12. Scavenger, I'd imagine I won't be going to bed early by the time it gets hot. I'll also have to sleep with the window open and probably have a screen door with the door open also by then. (If I haven't gotten a place built on the outside by then. Days will probably be spent outside under an awning and only work early mornings I guess. The summer here will be all new to me so I'll have to hang loose and see how I can handle it. They say even in the high temps that with the low humidity it isn't bad?
