My attempt to make it to my 10 acres in Terlingua Ranch and make a go of living on it. From the start it hasn't gone good at all, but I'm hopeful things will turn around!

Cone Nosed Beetle
Found this blood sucker here in the dungeon tonight. Glad I found it before it found me after I went to sleep! And here I'd read where they mostly hung out in adobe buildings. I guess not!
Believe me MC, it is a goner!!! On another note I'm back to square one on the inverter. Besides all the other weird problems it was causing the charge only lasted 12 hours. I had to go out and recharge just now. 11:00 PM. I'll try to return the Chinese crap, but doubt that they will take it back. It may be in the car so I can use the laptop in it. :(
More than likely just more wattage and less charge life, but I may try it when I get the chance. I tried the 1000 watt Dennis sent me a while back and it didn't seem to pull much more than the one I'm using now, but did pull enough more not to use it. It has a remote switch where I could rig it up to be shut off in here though. Any other time that would be good, but not now that I need to be running the evap about full time.

ReplyDeletetffnguy, If you feel like it, try that 700 watt inverter I have behind the back seat ( trunk )
ReplyDeleteIm curious to see if that one will be any better.
