My attempt to make it to my 10 acres in Terlingua Ranch and make a go of living on it. From the start it hasn't gone good at all, but I'm hopeful things will turn around!
Highlights were the music, Kevin and Zoe's cobb demonstration and Don Bryant was there showing how he makes his domes. Well that and George in an evening gown for the parade.
Looks like a blast. I am riding motorcycle down there in May with gal pals...hope to meet you. Will take them to the Grub shack and look for the Falcon.
Terry, I'd say just come by here, but I'm afraid the power road would be pretty dangerous on a street bike. There is one area on the way to this place that is about 30 feet long and very thick adobe dust. Its even dangerous on a dirt bike. I suppose you could park the bikes on the other side of that place and walk down. Maybe 600 feet to this place.
I'm thinking meet up at the Grub shack. I don't want to take a chance with 3 women on our heavy bikes going down a dirt road. Would be great to see your place though...I'm liking the "tank Party", but not sure our timing will be right. I'm sure we could all break out our piggy banks and treat you to dinner some evening.
I looked at 40 acres off the Ranch Road about 5 miles from the lodge. (Off LTM road)....I could sure pick your brain on some stuff...

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to comment on the first picture of that good looking gal in the hat. I think all the digging and bagging has tightened up her butt!
ReplyDeleteMy Gosh! I didn't know I caught you in that picture. ;)
