Nick and Mariah, pulled out yesterday afternoon so things are back to about normal around here. (Including the heat!) got up to 94 in here yesterday so I'd say they left at the right time because it probably got to at least 107 in the dungeon.
Nick snapping a shot of me as I was snapping a shot of him. You can probably see the other photo on his blog as soon as he has a chance to update it. We had a good time and great visit. I think he made sure that Mariah saw everything that could be seen around here.
Had an unwanted visitor show up just before they left. The dreaded Cone Nosed beetle. I saw it on the outside of the screen and went to kill it, but when I got out there it was gone. A little while later I saw it hung up in my pet spider Pete's web so went out to kill it again. Instead I decided to let Pete handle it because I didn't want to spray down his web and kill him to. Big mistake because the beetle managed to escape later and its on the loose again looking to get at me.
Thanks Sis.
Thanks Nick & RN
Thanks Dennis Walker
Neighbor's find.
Is that dude on the dungeon or the trailer? It's surprising it got away from Pete, he must not have been to hungry to get after it at the time. Glad to hear you had a good visit, I know how nice it is to have someone around for a while. Now back to just you, Pepper, Pete and your new buddy, the coned nosed beetle. lol Have a great day and it's not too hot.
ReplyDeleteDale, it was trying to get in the trailer. I need to come up with some weather stripping for the screen door because the way it is its like an open invitation to the mosquitoes and cone noses.
ReplyDeleteIts just 83 in here right now, but the humidity is so high I'm ringing sweat. It feels a little cooler outside in the shade (which is where I'm fixing to head), but there is almost no breeze at all so that is just a little help.

ReplyDeleteHey David, you still at 1000 Elna? Need to check my spelling better next time. Dennis
ReplyDeleteDennis, yes that is the address I get my mail for, but that is strictly for USPS mail only. UPS and the others wouldn't have a clue how to get to me. I can have stuff shipped to the legion for me though.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you won the camera duel! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteWell that wasn't very nice to take the cool weather with them, hope they are headed this way!
ReplyDeleteJust Got back to LA last night, I got a new list of stuff to do here on this Job site , but tonight I should be able to post the picture. Or send it to you so you can put it on your blog.
ReplyDeleteAdded a few more pictures and will be explaining them further later on.
ReplyDeleteMajor malfunction!!! the foto of me taking your picture of you taking my pic got accidently errased. I got too tired and tried to do computer work:(
ReplyDeleteOh well, No one wanted to see my ugly mug again anyway.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen a pic of Pepper since June! She still around? (Thanks in advance)
ReplyDeleteAndy, yes Pepper is still around here. See last picture I added. I just put one of the flea collars that Nick left for her on her. I don't think we have fleas and ticks down here, but we have some ferocious gnats and with her liking to hang out in the bush she is constantly covered with them. She doesn't mind sharing though because then she brings them to me and I have them swarming all around me. What a good dogie. Hopefully the flea collar with work with them and in that case I may try one myself!
ReplyDeleteAlso found out that she has been gnawing on two of the valve stem caps on the falcon. I think she needs to see the Dog Whisperer because she must have a death wish! I wish she would find some handsome young coyote to elope with!
cant wait for an updated picture.
ReplyDeleteThe blog has been updated, but maybe not what you expected?
