My niece's hubby came up with a bunch more 20 watt panels and one what I think is a 40 watt. He says more are to come. My problem will be to get all of them back in the falcon. I could probably pull it off if Pepper didn't have to ride back in the back seat. She may have to run the 220 miles back to the dungeon land. Out of 24 more panels only two were bad so this was actually better than the first batch back at the ranch which came out to 4 good and one bad. Even without the others yet to come that should put me up to about 540 Watts of solar. Figure in the wind genny that would be 1040 Watts. Maybe I'll start
TFFNGUY lighting and power. ;)
Sounds like a plan to me
ReplyDeleteI love all the blessings you've been receiving lately :)
ReplyDeleteDizzy-Dick, Guess I can make the dungeon the guest house now and have enough power to go around for it and the trailer to.
ReplyDeleteMC, I do to and I sure am thankful! ;) Maybe one more will be that the Legion can stay open.
so cool Tuff, looking good..
ReplyDeleteWow, solar panel jackpot! Can you borrow a little trailer for those so Pepper can have "her" seat? :)
ReplyDeleteAbby, there is no place to turn in trailers down there so I guess she will have to run along behind the falcon. I'll try to keep it below 70 MPH. ;) She really needs the exercise because I'm having to keep her tied up here. You see she wants to scrap with the dogs here so I can't put her in the back yard with them. RN borrowed a neighbor's dog house for her to hang out in though and I do take her for a walk around the park every afternoon though.
ReplyDeleteTruth be known though I'll get as many in the falcon as I can and still leave enough space for her in the car. RN will have to take the rest down there next trip he makes.
Way cool David. We are still trying to figure out how do DO the solar set up and what to get for panels.
ReplyDeleteHurry back we miss you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a score. Great stuff regarding the solar panels.
ReplyDeleteYou might find that the faulty one has a couple of faulty cells in the panel that may be able to be replaced from spare solar cells you can buy on ebay.
wilkinson4success, There are plenty of people in the area that can help you out.
ReplyDeleteBUDWEISER KID, I'll be back about mid week. Nice to know I'm missed. ;)
pipsqeek, I plan to hang on to the non working ones until I can find out if I can get them working or not. I may be able to put two together to make a functioning one.
As a side note I've added a new thread.
i have heard that you recondition batteries....what do you charge???
ReplyDeleteGYPSY JESS, I just do it for myself. I don't do it for other people. You can do it for yourself. Not all of them will come back so I wouldn't do it for anyone else. Its a matter of heating up one gallon of Distilled water to about 150 degrees and dissolving 16 ounces of Epsom Salt in it. Then topping off the batteries with the solution. The batteries will need to be low enough to accept 1 quart of solution per battery. One gallon of solution should treat 4 batteries.
